Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute

Have you ever gone to the doctor and felt like they weren't really listening to you or understanding what you're going through? That's where the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) comes in!

PCORI is a group of people who want to make sure that patients - that means people like you who go to the doctor - are at the center of all medical research. They want to figure out what works best for patients, and what makes them feel better.

So when doctors and scientists are studying new treatments or medicines, they need to think about how those things will affect patients - and not just how those things will affect the disease or the medicine itself.

PCORI also helps patients get involved in research studies, so that doctors and scientists can learn from their experiences and make better decisions about how to treat people like you!

In short, PCORI helps make sure that doctors and scientists listen to patients, and that their research is focused on helping patients feel better.
