Okay kiddo, imagine you have two friends who got into a fight. They need to make up and be friends again. That's called peace. It's when people stop fighting and start being nice to each other again.
But sometimes, there are people who don't want peace. They want to keep the fighting going. They might use things like posters, commercials, or even news stories to make one side look good and the other side look bad. That's propaganda. It's when people try to control what you think by telling you things that aren't always true.
Now, imagine a big playground with lots of kids playing. Each group of kids thinks they're the best and should get the playground all to themselves. They might promise their own friends that they'll get to play without any other groups getting in the way. That's the promised land. It's when someone promises something special to people they like in order to get them to like them more and support their side.
So, when we talk about "peace, propaganda, & the promised land," we're talking about how sometimes people try to stop fighting and make up, but other people try to keep the fighting going by using propaganda, or telling lies to make one side look better than the other. And sometimes, people use promises to get others to support their side, even if those promises can't really be kept. It's important to be aware of all these things so we can make choices based on what we think is right, and not just what someone else wants us to think.
