Peasantry

Peasantry is when people work on a farm and grow crops to feed themselves and their families. It's kind of like playing pretend farming, but the people really do this as their job. They don't have a lot of money or fancy things, but they work really hard to provide food for themselves and others. They might live in a small house or a hut on the farm and they use things like horses or donkeys to help them do their work. In the olden days, a lot of people were peasants because it was a common job. Nowadays, not as many people are peasants because of technology and machines helping with farming.
