Pediatric crowns

Hello there! Today we're going to talk about something called pediatric crowns. Now, you might be wondering what that means. Well, have you ever gone to the dentist and had a cavity? You know, that little hole in your tooth that the dentist had to fix? Sometimes, when that hole is too big, the dentist needs to put a special cap on top of your tooth to make it strong again. That's called a crown.

Now, sometimes kids also get cavities or their teeth can get damaged in other ways. When that happens, their dentist might suggest putting a special crown on their tooth to fix it. These crowns are made just for kids and they are smaller than the ones adults get. They are also usually really pretty and colorful so they can be fun to wear!

To put the crown on, the dentist will numb the tooth so that you don't feel anything. Then, they will clean and shave the tooth so that the crown can fit perfectly. After that, they will put a special glue on the crown and place it onto your tooth. Finally, they will use a special light to make the glue harden and keep the crown in place.

And that's it! With your new crown, your tooth will be strong and healthy again. Just remember to keep brushing and flossing so that you don't get any more cavities.
