Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is a big state in America, kind of like how your bedroom is a big part of your house. Lots of people live in Pennsylvania, just like lots of people live in your town or city. Pennsylvania has lots of cool things to see and do, like mountains, forests, and big cities.

Pennsylvania has a really interesting history too. It was one of the 13 original colonies that helped create the United States of America when it became a country. One of the most important documents in American history, the Declaration of Independence, was signed in Pennsylvania at a place called Independence Hall. Pennsylvania was also home to some really famous people like Ben Franklin and the first American President, George Washington.

Pennsylvania is divided into different parts called counties, just like how your favorite puzzle is divided into different pieces. Each county has its own unique history and things to do. Some of the most popular cities in Pennsylvania include Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg.

A really important thing about Pennsylvania is that it is a democracy. This means that the people who live in Pennsylvania get to choose their leaders through voting. There are different leaders for different parts of Pennsylvania, like the governor, who is in charge of the whole state, and the mayor, who is in charge of a city.

Overall, Pennsylvania is a really cool place to live or visit. It has a rich history, beautiful nature, and interesting cities. Whether you are five or fifty, there is always something new to learn and do in Pennsylvania!
