ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Persian weave

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a bunch of colorful rubber bands on your hand, and you want to make a cool bracelet out of them. To do that, you need to connect the rubber bands together in a certain way.

Persian weave is like connecting the rubber bands together in a special pattern. Instead of just linking them together one by one, you make little chains of rubber bands, and then link those chains together in a certain way to make the bracelet.

Now instead of using rubber bands, grown-ups use little metal rings to do the same thing. They take each ring and connect it to four other rings in a certain pattern, using pliers to twist and link them together. They keep doing this until the rings form a long chain-like pattern.

So basically, Persian weave is a fun way to make pretty jewelry by connecting little metal rings together in a certain way.
