Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act

The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act, or PRWORA, is a law that was passed in 1996. It tries to make sure that people who need help find it, while also making sure that those people who receive help are taking responsibility and following the rules. In other words it tries to help people who need it but also encourages people who receive help to do their best to help themselves.

In order to get help from the government, people must meet certain requirements and responsibilities. For example, people must show that they are trying to find a job, taking care of their children, and saving for the future. People must also follow the rules of their state and local governments if they want to continue receiving help.

The PRWORA law has helped many people who were struggling to make ends meet. It has given them more opportunities to get a job, provide for their families and save for the future. It also makes sure they stay on the right track and work hard.
