Phase-out of incandescent light bulbs

Okay, kiddo. So you know how light bulbs help us see in the dark? Well, there are different kinds of light bulbs. One kind is called “incandescent.” These are the regular light bulbs that you might see in your home.

The problem with incandescent light bulbs is that they use a lot of electricity to make light. That means they aren’t very energy-efficient. When we use things that aren’t energy-efficient, we have to make more electricity, and that can be bad for the earth. It can cause pollution and climate change.

So, some very smart people decided that we need to use better light bulbs that use less electricity. That’s why they started to phase out incandescent light bulbs.

“Phasing out” means getting rid of something slowly over time. So, that’s what they’ve been doing with incandescent light bulbs. They’ve slowly been making it so that we can’t buy them anymore.

Instead, we use light bulbs that are more energy-efficient. These include LED lights and CFL lights. They use less electricity to make light, which makes them better for the earth.

So, even though incandescent bulbs might be what you’re used to, it’s important to switch to better light bulbs to help the planet. Plus, they can save you money on your electricity bill in the long run!
