Phenomenology of religion is the study of religious experience. Basically, it looks at how people experience and understand religion and religious beliefs in their own lives. It asks questions like: How do people feel when they pray? What does it mean to them to believe in a religion? What do their beliefs mean to them, and how do they make sense of the world? It looks at the personal and mental processes by which people interpret religious beliefs and experiences. For example, it might look at how someone interprets the Bible or why they have a certain way of praying. It is an important field of study because it helps us to understand why people have different religious beliefs and how those beliefs shape their lives.
