ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Philosophical theology

Philosophical theology is a type of philosophy that talks about God – questions like what God is like, why do we believe in God and how we can know God better. Philosophical theology uses logic and reason to try to understand God and religious beliefs. It looks at how different religions have different beliefs about God, but also looks for ways that these different beliefs can be seen as connected. To explain it in an easier way, philosophical theology is like asking questions about God and coming up with answers using our brains.
