Philosophy in the Soviet Union is a type of thinking (or way of looking at things) that was popular in the Soviet Union between 1922 and 1991. It was influenced by Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, two famous Russian thinkers. In this way of thinking, people put the welfare of their country (the Soviet Union) before their own. They thought it was important to work together for the common good. They also thought of education and science as important for society to progress, and placed strong emphasis on finding the truth about the world. Finally, they thought it was important for everyone to have equal rights and freedom.
