Philtrum piercing

A philtrum piercing is when a person gets a hole pierced in the area of the face between the nose and the top lip. It's kind of like when you get your ears pierced, but in this case, the hole is in the philtrum — the vertical groove above your upper lip. To get one, you'll have to go to a professional piercer who will make a quick, tiny incision in the area, and then put a piece of jewelry (like a barbell, labret, hoop, or stud) through the hole. It might hurt a bit during the process, but the pain should go away once the piercing is done.
