Photic retinopathy

Hi there little one!
Photic retinopathy is when your eyes get damaged because they were exposed to bright light. Remember when mommy always tells you never to look directly at the sun? That's because it can hurt your eyes really badly!

Our eyes have a special part called the retina that helps us see things clearly. When we look at something bright like the sun, the bright light can damage the retina and make it hard for us to see things clearly anymore. It can even make our vision blurry or make us see spots in our eyes!

So to keep your eyes safe and healthy, make sure to always wear sunglasses when you're in bright sunlight or looking at anything very bright. And always remember not to look directly at the sun!
