Physics is the study of how things work and move in the world. It asks questions like why do things fall down instead of up? Aristotle was an Ancient Greek philosopher who studied physics. He said that everything on Earth had four parts: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. He believed that everything was made of these four elements and that each element had its own type of movement. He thought that Earth moved downwards and Fire moved upwards. He also said that objects will keep moving until something stopped them, like a wall or a tree. Aristotle's ideas were the starting point for many of our modern scientific ideas about how the world works.
