ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Physics Outreach

Physics outreach is when grown-ups who love physics go talk to little kids about all the cool things they can do with physics. It's like a grown-up show-and-tell, except instead of bringing in cool toys, they bring in things that help explain how the world works, like magnets or bubbles, and show the kids how they work.

The grown-ups who do physics outreach are usually very good at explaining things in a way that even 5-year-olds can understand. They use lots of pictures and fun demonstrations to make things interesting and easy to understand.

Sometimes, the grown-ups might take the kids on a field trip to a science museum or to a physics lab, where they can see real-life examples of all the cool things they talked about.

Overall, physics outreach is a way for grown-ups who love physics to share their passion with kids who might one day grow up to love physics, too!
