Pigeon drop

Pigeon drop is a scam. Scams are when mean people try to trick you into giving away your money, or other things that are valuable.

In a pigeon drop scam a mean person will try to convince you that you can make lots of money, but you have to give them some money first. They might say that you can have even more money, or something valuable like jewelry, if you give them some money. They usually try to make it sound like a good deal so that you will give them the money.

The mean person will usually say that they have to run errands or do something else, but that they will be back with your money or the valuable thing very soon. Usually, they will never come back, so you are out the money you gave them.

It’s important to never give money to someone like this, or have anything to do with a pigeon drop! Your mom or dad can help to make sure you don’t get tricked into a scam like this.
