Pigeon photography

Okay kiddo, do you know what pigeons are? They are little birds with feathers that walk around on the ground and sometimes fly up into the sky. Now, sometimes people use these pigeons to take pictures! Yes, you heard that right, pigeons can take pictures!

Here's how it works: humans strap a small camera or a tiny backpack with a camera and some sensors onto the pigeon's back. Then, the pigeon flies up into the sky and takes pictures from high up, showing us what the world looks like from above.

This type of photography is also called pigeon aerial photography or PAP for short. It's a special way of taking pictures that shows us things we wouldn't normally be able to see.

Pigeon photography isn't used as much these days because there are other ways of taking aerial photos, like using drones. But it's still pretty cool to think that a little bird can help us see the world in a whole new way!
