Pikillaqta

Pikillaqta is like a really old city that was made by people who lived in Peru a very very long time ago. They built a lot of stone structures and houses and even some big walls around the city to keep it safe.

Back then, people didn't have cars or planes like we do now, so they had to walk or ride animals to get around. Pikillaqta was a really important place because it was on an important road that people used to travel from one place to another. So, a lot of people would stop at Pikillaqta to take a rest or trade things.

Even though the city was really old and made a long time ago, we're still able to see a lot of it today. There are some areas that have been ruined by the weather over time, but some of the stone structures and walls are still standing strong. People can go visit Pikillaqta and see what it was like to live in a very old city a long time ago.
