Pilonidal sinus

Okay kiddo, so a pilonidal sinus is basically a kind of hole or channel that can form in the skin near your tailbone.

It happens when a hair follicle (the little pocket that your hair grows out of) gets blocked and infected. This can cause a lump, swelling and pain in that area, and sometimes pus or fluid can drain out of the hole.

Now, to prevent this from happening, it's important to keep that area clean and dry, and to avoid sitting for long periods of time. If you already have a pilonidal sinus, you might need to see a doctor who can drain any fluid, prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection, or even suggest surgery to remove the affected tissue.

Remember, it might be uncomfortable or even scary, but lots of people deal with this condition and there are ways to treat it and get back to feeling better!
