ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pixelation

Pixelation is when you take a picture, but when you look at it closely, it looks like a bunch of tiny little squares (or pixels) instead of a clear picture. It's like looking at a picture made out of Lego blocks.

This happens because pictures are made up of lots and lots of tiny little dots called pixels. When you take a picture with a camera, the camera takes all these little pixels and puts them together to make a picture.

But if a picture doesn't have enough pixels or if you zoom in too much, the pixels start to get bigger and you can see them more easily. This makes the picture look blurry and not as clear.

So, if you want to have a clear picture, you need to make sure that it has enough pixels and that you don't zoom in too much. Otherwise, you will see the Lego blocks instead of the actual picture!
