Planetesimal

Planetesimals are small pieces of rock and dust in space. They form when pieces of dust and gas clump together, and eventually grow bigger and bigger until they become planets. Planetesimals are like the building blocks for planets. They are usually very small, so we usually don't see them from Earth, even with special telescopes!
