Plantar fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is when the part of your foot that connects your heel to your toes is very sore and hurts when you walk or run. Imagine if your foot had a rubber band at the bottom and that part of the rubber band closest to your heel was hurting. That is what plantar fasciitis feels like. The rubber band in your foot helps it move and bend properly, but if it gets stretched too much or used too often, it can get damaged and hurt. This is why people with plantar fasciitis might feel their foot hurting when they wake up in the morning or after they've been moving around a lot during the day. It is important to rest your foot and do special exercises to help it heal.
