Plastisphere

A plastisphere is a small, floating island made out of plastic. You can usually find them in the ocean or other bodies of water. These plastic islands are made up of lots of different types of plastic waste, like bottles, bags, and pieces of toys. The plastic bits link together to form a kind of raft that floats on the surface of the water. Microorganisms, like tiny plants and animals, can also live on these islands and help them stay afloat. Plastispheres are a big problem because they can hurt the environment by blocking sunlight and other resources that help other plants and animals survive.
