ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Platform-based design

Platform-based design is a way of creating websites, apps or products by using a platform as a starting point. A platform is like a toolbox full of different pieces that can be put together to create whatever you want. For example, it might include things like colors, designs, layouts and other parts of the product. Platform-based design makes it easier and faster to create a product because the pieces are all there - you just need to put it together.
