Poland is a country in Europe. It's capital city is Warsaw. Poland has been a country for a long time, but during World War II it was taken over by Nazi Germany. After the war, Poland became a Communist country until 1989 when it became a democracy. Today, Poland is a prosperous and peaceful country, with strong ties to the European Union.
