Poles in mythology

Poles in mythology are things that appear in stories and usually have something to do with a god or goddess. They are often associated with power and strength, as well as wisdom. For example, a pole might represent Zeus’ lightning bolt, Thor’s hammer, or Poseidon’s trident. Poles can also be used to store symbolic items, like a staff or wand. They can be used to represent something powerful or magical, or even help people reach the gods. In some stories, when a pole is touched it might reveal hidden knowledge or a secret. Poles often appear in stories to give the hero something to fight against, or something to overcome.
