They even use special technology to listen in on phone calls or read messages to see if they can catch bad guys before they do bad things.

Basically, police intelligence helps the police know what’s going on in the community so they can prevent crimes and protect people. It’s like they’re always trying to stay one step ahead of the bad guys.
