Police and Judicial Co-operation in Criminal Matters

Police and judicial co-operation in criminal matters is when police and judges work together to try and make sure that criminals pay for their crimes. Police help by gathering evidence, talking to witnesses, and trying to catch criminals. Judges help by listening to the evidence and taking into account circumstances to decide if the criminal is guilty or not. Judges also decide what punishment should happen (like going to jail or paying a fine) if the criminal is found guilty. Everyone working together helps keep our communities and countries safe!
