Politicide

Politicide is when a group or a government tries to get rid of another group of people. They may do this by killing them or by making it hard for them to live and survive. For example, a government may pass laws that limit what certain groups of people are allowed to do, or take away their rights to own property or vote. Politicide is sometimes called genocide, but genocide is a type of politicide that only happens when a group of people is completely eliminated.
