Politics of climate change

Okay kiddo, so politics is all about how people make decisions and run things in a country. And climate change is about how the Earth is getting warmer because of things people are doing.

Now, some people think that we need to take action to stop climate change because it's bad for the planet and everyone living on it. They might want to do things like use more clean energy or plant more trees. Other people might not think that's as important, and might want to focus on other things like making money or creating jobs.

So, when it comes to politics and climate change, different politicians and groups have different ideas about what to do. Sometimes they argue and disagree with each other. They might have debates or write laws to try to make changes.

It's kind of like if you and your friends are trying to decide what game to play. Some of your friends might want to play tag, but others might want to play hide-and-seek. You all have to work together to make a decision, but sometimes that can be hard if you have different ideas.

But the important thing is that people keep talking about climate change and figuring out ways to work together to make sure the Earth stays a healthy and happy place to live for a long time.
