The International Space Station (ISS) is a big spacecraft that many countries around the world have worked together to build. The governments of the United States, Russia, Japan, Canada, and the European Union are the main countries that helped design and build the space station. When these countries work together on a project like this, they have to come to agreements on how they will do the work and share the resources. This agreement is called politics and it includes things like how many astronauts each country can send to the station, who pays for it, how long people can stay there, and how they will make sure the space station is safe and working properly.
