ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Polyculture

Polyculture is a type of farming or gardening that involves growing different types of plants together. It's different from monoculture, which is when a farmer or gardener only grows one type of plant in a particular area. Polyculture is helpful because it helps the plants to get the resources they need to grow, like nutrients in the soil and water. It also helps prevent pests and diseases from spreading, since the different types of plants act as a barrier between them. If a pest tries to attack one type of plant, it won't be able to affect other types of plants because they're all so different.
