Polyphony

Polyphony means having multiple melodies or voices played or sung at the same time. It's like having more than one person singing or playing different parts of a song. Imagine a choir singing a song with different parts for the sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses. Each person is singing a different melody, but they all sound good together. That's polyphony!
