Sometimes people didn't have a lot of money back in the olden days to buy a real Bible, but they still wanted to learn about God's teachings. So they made their own "poor man's Bible" out of different things they could find or make themselves. This could include copying parts of the Bible onto scraps of paper, using their memories to recite stories, or creating pictures to help them remember important lessons. It was a special way for people to still learn and remember important teachings without having to spend a lot of money on a fancy Bible.
