ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Population of Canada by province and territory

Okay kiddo, let me explain about the population of Canada by province and territory in a way you will understand.

Canada is a big country made up of many smaller areas called provinces and territories. There are 10 provinces (like Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia) and 3 territories (like Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut). Each province and territory has its own government and people who live there.

Now, Canada has a lot of people living in it, but the number varies depending on where you go. For example, Ontario has the highest population of all the provinces with over 14 million people living there. That's a lot of people! Quebec is the second most populated province with around 8 million people.

On the other hand, some provinces and territories have much smaller populations. Nunavut is the least populated territory with only around 40,000 people. That's like having a big family reunion with lots of cousins!

So, when we look at the population of Canada as a whole, all the provinces and territories add up to around 38 million people. That's a lot of people living together in one big country!

I hope that helps explain things, little one. Feel free to ask me any more questions if you're curious!
