Population pyramid

Population pyramids are charts that show the population of an area arranged by age. They often look like pyramids, with the youngest age groups at the bottom and the oldest at the top. The population pyramid can show us important things about a place, such as whether the population is growing or shrinking. It can also tell us how healthy the population is, or whether there are more males or females in the population. Population pyramids are helpful when looking at how a place will change over time.
