Porkbusters is a very special name that grown-ups use to talk about how to make sure that our government is using all the money it has in the best way possible.
You know when you get money from your parents, and you want to use it to buy your favorite toy or candy? Well, the government gets a lot of money too from all the grown-ups in the country, and they have to decide how to use it. Sometimes, they might use the money for things that are not really needed or too expensive, and that’s where Porkbusters comes in.
Porkbusters are grown-ups who try to find out if the government is spending too much money on things like unnecessary things that don't matter or things that are overpriced. They check to make sure that the money is being used for things that will be helpful for everyone in the country- like schools or hospitals or to make sure everyone is safe.
So, Porkbusters want to make sure that the money the government has is being spent wisely and not wasted, so everyone can benefit from it.
