Potato chips are thin, crispy pieces of potato that people love to snack on. To make chips, first, potatoes are gathered and carefully washed to remove all dirt and dust. Then, using special machines, the potatoes are sliced up into very thin pieces. The slices are then sent to a big pot of very hot oil and cooked until they turn a beautiful golden brown color.
Once the chips are cooked, they’re removed from the hot oil and sprinkled with some salt to make them extra tasty. After cooling and being put into a bag, they’re ready to be eaten as a snack by people like you and me! And don’t forget to share them with your friends and family!
