International Relations is a field of study. It is the study of how countries interact with each other. Power is an important part of this study. Countries have different amounts of power. Power is usually measured by how much money, resources and military they have. Countries with more power can influence other countries. For example, if one country has more money, they may be able to trade or buy resources from other countries. This can influence the other country's actions. Having a powerful military also gives a country power. A powerful military can be used to protect the country or to influence other countries. Countries can also gain power by forming alliances with other countries. Alliances are when two or more countries work together to achieve a goal. By working together they become more powerful than they would be alone.
