Power cord

Okay kiddo, so you know how when you want to watch TV or use your computer, you need to plug them into the wall so they can turn on and work? Well, the thing that you plug into the wall is called a power cord. The power cord is like a special kind of rope that carries electricity from the wall to your device, just like how water flows through a hose.

But you don't want to touch the electricity directly, right? That would be dangerous! So the power cord has a special plastic coating around it to keep the electricity inside and make it safe for us to use. And the two ends of the power cord have special plugs that fit into the wall and your device, kind of like how puzzle pieces fit together.

So when you want to use something that needs electricity, you just need to plug in the power cord and voila! You have power! Just remember, though, always be careful around electricity and never touch the metal parts of the plug when it's connected to the wall - that's a job for grown-ups!
