Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is a measure of how much energy is actually used for a computer's tasks (such as running software or storing files) compared to how much energy is wasted on other parts of the computer (such as the cooling system). PUE is measured on a scale of 1 to infinity, with 1 being the most efficient and infinity being the least efficient. If your computer has a PUE of 1, that means it's using 100% of the energy it takes in for actual computing tasks. If your computer has a PUE of 2, that means it is using 50% of the energy it takes in for actual computing tasks.
