ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Practical arguments

Practical arguments are when you make an argument based on evidence and logic, rather than relying only on feelings or opinions. An example of a practical argument is deciding what food to order for dinner - you might consider what the family likes best, what ingredients you have, how much time and money it will take to make the meal, and how it will make everyone feel afterwards. All of these are practical arguments - thinking through the facts and details in order to make the best decision.
