Prakrti is a Sanskrit word that means nature or the natural world around us. Imagine if you went outside and saw trees, flowers, grass, and animals. That is prakrti!
Now, prakrti is made up of three parts called gunas. The gunas are like different colors mixed together to create a new color. The first guna is called sattva which means purity and goodness. The second guna is called rajas which means energy and passion. The third guna is called tamas which means darkness and laziness.
When these three gunas mix together, they create different things in nature. For example, if we mix sattva and rajas together, we get a beautiful flower that is full of life and energy. But if we mix rajas and tamas together, we might get a storm or a hurricane. And if we mix sattva and tamas, we might get a rock that is heavy and still.
In summary, prakrti is the natural world around us that is made up of three different gunas which create different things in nature depending on how they mix together.
