Pre-industrial society

Before the machines and factories came along, people lived in what's called a pre-industrial society. This means they didn't have lots of machines to do their work for them. Instead, they had to do everything by hand, like growing their own food and making their own clothes.

In pre-industrial societies, most people lived in small villages or farms. They worked together with their families and neighbors to make sure everyone had enough food, clothes, and shelter. They farmed their own land, raised livestock, and made things like clothes, tools, and furniture by hand.

Trade was also very important in pre-industrial societies. People would trade goods with each other to get things they didn't have, like spices or materials for their crafts. Travel was difficult, so most people only traded with nearby villages and towns.

In pre-industrial societies, there weren't a lot of options for entertainment like we have today. People would gather together for festivals or religious events, or tell stories around a fire at night. They also worked hard and spent a lot of time taking care of their homes and families.

Overall, life in a pre-industrial society was much simpler and harder than it is today. But people still found ways to make their lives happy and fulfilling, despite the challenges they faced.
