Predictive power

Predictive power is a way to measure how well something can guess the future. It's like a competition to see who can guess the right answer first. For example, if you are trying to predict who will win an election, you might use different information like polls and past election results to try to figure out who will come out on top. The way that you did this would be called your predictive power—how accurate were you in guessing the future?
