ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pregeometry (model theory)

Pregeometry is like playing with blocks, but instead of regular blocks, you have special blocks with different shapes and colors. These blocks represent the different parts of math, like numbers and shapes.

But there are some rules that we have to follow when playing with these blocks. We can only put certain shapes together, and we have to make sure that everything fits together the right way. This is called "geometry."

But sometimes, we want to play with the blocks in a different way, where we don't have to follow all the rules of geometry. This is where pregeometry comes in. We can still play with the blocks, but we don't have to worry about everything fitting together perfectly.

Basically, pregeometry is a way to study math without all the hard rules that come with regular geometry. It helps us understand math in a different way, and lets us explore new possibilities that we might not have found otherwise.
