Prehistoric Egypt

Do you know what prehistoric means? It means a really long time ago, before people started writing things down.

Well, a long time ago, in a place called Egypt, there were people who lived there before writing was invented. These people were called prehistoric Egyptians.

They lived in small groups and hunted animals and gathered food from the land. They used simple tools made from stone and wood to help them. They also made small things out of pottery and shells.

As time went by, prehistoric Egyptians learned how to grow crops like wheat and barley. This made life easier for them because they didn't have to hunt and gather as much food. They also started to make homes out of mud and straw, and they made clothes from animal furs and plant fibers.

Eventually, prehistoric Egyptians started to develop a religion. They believed in many different gods and goddesses who were in charge of different things like the sun, the Nile River, and the afterlife. They built temples to worship these gods and goddesses and left offerings for them.

Even though we don't know as much about prehistoric Egypt as we do about later times, we can see from the things they made and the way they lived that they were a very interesting and creative people who were able to survive and thrive in a challenging environment.
