Prehistoric Sweden

A long, long time ago in Sweden, there were no buildings or cities or technology like we have today. People lived in small groups and were known as hunter-gatherers. This means they hunted animals for food and gathered fruits and vegetables from the land. They didn't have clothing stores or supermarkets, so they had to make everything they needed themselves.

As time went on, people in Sweden learned how to farm and raise animals. They also started making tools out of stone, which helped them hunt and build better homes. These people are called the Neolithic people.

A special group of people called the Bronze Age people came after the Neolithic people. They were known for their beautiful bronze ornaments and tools. They also began to build bigger homes and forts to protect themselves from invaders.

Then came the Iron Age. This is when people started making tools out of iron instead of bronze and building even bigger forts made out of stones. Many of these forts are still standing today and are called "hill forts" because they are built on top of hills.

Throughout prehistoric Sweden, people celebrated and worshiped different gods and goddesses. They believed in magic and spirits and often left offerings at special places like lakes or trees to keep the spirits happy.

Although we don't know everything about prehistoric Sweden, we have learned a lot through archaeological discoveries and research. It's amazing to think about how people lived so long ago and how they built the foundations for the modern Sweden we know today.
