Prehistoric religion is a type of religion that people practiced before written history started. People living during prehistoric times believed in many gods, goddesses, and spirits that could be called upon for help in times of difficulty. People often practiced ceremonies, rituals, and sacrifices in order to please these gods and goddesses. They also believed in an afterlife, where the spirits of the dead could still influence the world.
