ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Premium pricing

When you go to the store to buy things, you might see some things cost more money than other things. This is called "pricing". When something costs more than the other things, we call it "premium pricing".

Imagine you are buying some toys. You see two toy cars. One is very simple and costs $2. The other one is more special and has more features, like flashing lights and a remote control. This one costs $20. The more expensive one is using "premium pricing".

Companies use premium pricing when they think that people will pay more money for something that they really want or think is worth it. For example, some people might be willing to pay more for a fancy car because it has more features and is better quality than a cheaper car.

So, premium pricing is when things cost more money because they have special features or are high quality, and people are willing to pay more for them.
